  • Description

VBL, Light Armoured Vehicle of 4.3 tonnes, is an armoured vehicle capable of carrying payloads up to one tonne to perform reconnaissance, intelligence, command, internal security, or combat missions in anti-tank and cavalry units. The vehicle is protected against ballistic attacks, mines and improvised explosive devices, according to STANAG 4569.

Its compact, stealthy design gives it unequalled projection capacities: amphibious, air transport and air-drop. Its excellent mobility, notably due to its fully independent suspension system, makes it an agile vehicle in all theatres: desert, mountainous, urban, tropical, etc.

VBL exists in a reconnaissance, command and liaison version, which can be equipped with a 7.62 or 12.7 mm ring and a manual or remote-controlled PL80 weapon station (WASP 7.62mm). VBL is also available in a system carrier version (anti-tank missile, anti-aircraft turret, border surveillance system, etc.).
